Livestock
Development Synergies International (DSI) recognizes the vital role of the livestock sector in ensuring food security, economic stability, and public health. Our work in livestock focuses on strengthening animal health systems, promoting sustainable livestock practices, and integrating One Health principles that connect human, animal, and environmental health. We aim to build resilient livestock systems that support rural livelihoods and national development goals.
DSI supports federal and provincial stakeholders through the development of policies, strategies, and systems that enhance disease surveillance, biosecurity, and veterinary supply chains. Our interventions include the application of digital technologies for livestock data management, disease forecasting, and the deployment of rapid diagnostic tools to improve response to animal health threats, including zoonotic diseases.
We offer services in livestock sector planning, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) containment, vaccination campaigns, and capacity building for veterinary professionals and frontline workers. By aligning with international standards and national priorities, DSI helps strengthen institutional capacity and ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality animal health services across the country.
Through our One Health approach, DSI continues to contribute to a more integrated and sustainable livestock system—improving productivity, preventing disease outbreaks, and protecting the health of communities and ecosystems alike. Our commitment is to support Pakistan’s journey toward resilient, climate-smart, and economically vibrant livestock development.
